The mallet Rob uses in his shop and on his dvds is smaller than most commercially available.  His motto is "sharper chisels not a bigger hammer"!

This mallet is the exact size of the one he made for himself.  The handle is Ash and the head is Bubinga.  The weight is just right for a comfortable day in the shop.  The ash handle goes thru the head.  Like any good Canadian hockey nut would know, a tape job has to be just right.  To improve your grip, Jake or Rex wrap the handles for you, hockey style!
